Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 2025-03-15. This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to your use of JoltReview and is part of our Terms of Service. Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account.

Prohibited uses

You must not use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
  • Collect or encourage fake, incentivized, or misleading reviews, or to manipulate review platforms (e.g. Google, Yelp) in violation of their policies.
  • Send spam, unsolicited messages, or bulk communications to people who have not consented.
  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or defame others, or distribute content that is discriminatory, hateful, or obscene.
  • Distribute malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts, or interfere with the integrity or availability of the Service.
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or automate access to the Service in a way that bypasses normal use or our terms.
  • Resell or sublicense the Service in a manner not permitted by our Terms, or use the Service to build a competing product.
  • Impersonate JoltReview, our staff, or another person or entity.

Content and conduct

You are responsible for the content you upload and the way you use the review funnel and links. Do not use the Service to direct customers to leave reviews in exchange for incentives that violate platform rules (e.g. Google’s policy against incentivized reviews when not disclosed). You must comply with Google’s, Yelp’s, and other review platforms’ policies where your links direct users.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and remove content or suspend or terminate accounts without prior notice where we deem necessary. We may report illegal activity to authorities and cooperate with law enforcement. We are not obligated to monitor all content but may do so to enforce this AUP and protect the Service and users.

Changes

We may update this AUP. The “Last updated” date will change, and continued use after updates constitutes acceptance. For material changes we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
